Four-piece pop rock/indie rock band hailing from southern NH. First emerging on the NH music scene in late 2016, their music features catchy hooks, ambient guitar work, emotional lyricism, and upbeat, driving rhythms. Consisting of members Matt (lead vocals/guitar/piano), Kurt (drums), Andy (bass/backing vocals) and Derek (guitar), Delaney draws much of their influences from early 2000's rock/emo bands such as The Dangerous Summer, Jack's Mannequin, and Jimmy Eat World. In May of 2018, the band released their debut EP "Kites Without String" and played extensively in the NH/MA area over the summer to support the EP. With their unique sound and steadily growing fan base, you can expect to see a lot more from this blossoming quartet in 2019!
St. Paul's Funeral:
First conceptualized in the Fall of 2018 when Ryan (bass/vocals) began writing with his long-time friend Tim (guitar/vocals). Ryan had played bass for Tim on numerous occasions for Tim’s solo folk project; the two have always been the sole songwriters for their own respective musical endeavors and on a few occasions, toyed with the idea of being co-songwriters in a band. Bands such as Pedro The Lion and Black Sabbath were the common ground and initial influence when roughly formulating St. Paul’s “sound.” After the initial writing sessions, the two discovered their shared droney, loud rock head space combined with a singer-songwriter sensibility which resulted in a loosely emulsified batch of demos.
While the foundation was being set, the two reached out to John (drums) who has played for several punk bands in the Southern NH area. John, whose high-energy, orchestrated chaos style of playing took St. Paul’s initial demos to a fresher, more dynamic interpretation. After weeks of writing and recording rough demos, the trio developed their aggressive, dark, cathartic, and melodic sound.
St. Paul’s Funeral is currently recording their debut EP, SHAME, which is set to be released this coming late spring/summer.
